The greatest source of joy in the early days was seeing our ground troops arrive to provide a buffer between us and the bad guys	The enlisted personnel at 71st Ops who kept the show running smoothly		One of the few Kuwaiti jets (this one a Mirage F-1 like the Iraqis flew) that managed to escape to safety during the Iraqi invasion parks at the airfield. The Kuwaiti pilots provided invaluable information to our pilots during the many informal talks.
