July 14th : 28 new members joined the Association this month - All of them from the 71st Ironmen F-15 community! The gauntlet has been thrown down. The last big group was 18 new members of the Fightin' Eagles last summer - Can the Spads or other generations of 1st Fighter warriors step up to the challenge??

August 1st: Donald Brenden's WW2 Diary while a crew chief with the 27th, unedited, and transcribed by his son, Paul Brenden.

New pictures from visitors to the Billy Wisner Memorial and Crash site in the Italian Alps


July 31st - The August issue of the 1st Fighter Association Newsletter is now available courtesy of our editor, Bruce Gordon. Bruce reports that our membership is on the rise again - We have gone up from 327 paying members in Nov 2005 to 361 this July.



June 22nd - A 63-year old mystery solved?? Correlation of new evidence, including newly released WW2 diaries, satellite imagery, and internet images shed light on a notorious buzz job of the 1st Fighter Group.



May 27th - David Gray Jr. has transcribed his father's hand-written WWII Diary and added many pictures of his Dad's experiences from Mid-1942 until the end of the War. It is a day by day account. Some days have only few entries and some have none. It is well worth reading. You can send comments to his son at nostrdav@vcn.com
