To: The "MOUSE", Frederico Federici
Somewhere up high, I expect there is a guy working on his flight gear .. to see how he can modify his wings to be more efficient and more comfortable. I hope I can meet him again, one day.
One hot day, during the duty in Corsica, I came up to the plane in the early afternoon to fly a second mission and found a note in the cockpit that said, "It's all set to go ... gone swimming ... see you when you get back." Mouse.
With the Mouse, the plane was always a pleasure to fly. He was proud of keeping all of his equipment in peak condition.
A day or so later I came back from a mission and the chunks of iron, at the bottom of the vertical stabilizers, had dirt and weeds attached to them. (But that's another story) So I said it can probably be dusted off, he gave me a funny look and said he'd clean'em up. Later he told me he had inspected, measured and checked them ... they should be okay!
